The story is based on cases of Colombian killers, highlighting how evil can manifest in unexpected places and people. The narrative aims to reflect the harsh reality of these crimes and their impact on the victims, especially in environments considered safe.

Led executive and operational production of a psychological horror short film, managing a 30+ member crew across an 8-day rural shoot in Pradera Valle sugarcane field locations, overseeing full WBS architecture from development through post-production, coordinating a vehicle fleet, and operating aerial drone unit, with final delivery in 4K for the national festival circuit.

The plot is set in a small, peaceful rural town in Colombia, surrounded by sugarcane fields. Although the environment appears tranquil and safe, it hides unimaginable terror that contrasts with the idyllic appearance of the landscape.

The kids on the flyers are the guys from the crew.

Original score by David Candamil — a regional experiment blending indigenous instruments and sounds gathered from the very farm where the film was shot.

The paintings were made by hand under the direction of Saji Ordoñez, and within his artistic proposal, they were implemented to complement the short film — to say things through the paintings that aren't explicitly shown in the short itself. This approach was inspired by Midsommar by Ari Aster, who used a similar technique where hand-painted murals and tapestries foreshadowed or expanded the narrative beyond what was directly depicted on screen.

Production Transportation - Shooting Plan Breakdown.

Because the sugarcane field was unusually dense and nearly impossible to move through, the art department carved a miniature labyrinth directly into the crop grid — turning a logistical challenge into the film's pursuit and immersion scenes within the plantation.

Sunday, 23 April 2023 at 9:11 PM, a crescent moon lit up the sky over the city while we were filming the dark scenes in the plantation. That night, the atmosphere felt strangely heavy — some of the crew started hearing what sounded like distant footsteps or faint sobs, mostly picked up through the boom mic. We ended up using those sounds in the short film's sound design, and that unplanned moment became one of the most haunting layers of the whole project.
